With the improvement of environmental awareness and technological innovation, underground integrated sewage treatment equipment is becoming an important tool in my country’s water pollution prevention and control field. This “invisible guardian” injects new impetus into urban water environment management through full-process automation, low cost and high efficiency.
Building a solid defense line from the source
The first stop for sewage to enter the treatment system is the automatic screen machine. Its densely arranged screen bars act like a precision filter, which can intercept large suspended matter such as branches and plastics, avoiding subsequent pipe blockage and equipment damage. Through the intelligent control system, the screen machine can automatically adjust the operating frequency according to the sewage flow, realizing unattended and efficient pretreatment.
The “reservoir wisdom” of regulating ponds
After passing through the screen, the sewage flows into the regulating tank. This “underground reservoir” bears the heavy responsibility of balancing water quality and quantity. In the face of water quality fluctuations caused by factors such as morning and evening peaks and seasonal changes, the regulating tank ensures the stable operation of subsequent treatment units through physical mixing and time buffering, creating the best conditions for biochemical reactions.
The “microbial army” of the three-level biochemical system
The core treatment link adopts the anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic (A²/O) process to build a three-dimensional ecological purification system. In the anaerobic zone, anaerobic bacteria decompose macromolecular organic matter; in the anoxic zone, denitrifying bacteria convert nitrates into nitrogen gas; and the activated sludge in the aerobic zone further degrades pollutants through aerobic microorganisms. This process not only removes indicators such as COD and ammonia nitrogen, but also realizes the resource utilization of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus through biological synergy.
Multiple barriers ensure water safety
The biochemically treated sewage enters the secondary sedimentation tank, where the activated sludge and clean water are separated by gravity sedimentation. The supernatant then enters the deep treatment unit, where ultraviolet disinfection, membrane filtration and other technologies are used to kill pathogens to ensure that the effluent meets the Class A standard of the “Pollutant Emission Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants”. Some systems also integrate a reclaimed water reuse module to use the treated water resources for greening, toilet flushing and other scenarios.
A”green closed loop” for resource disposal
The sludge produced during sewage treatment can be reduced to less than 60% in moisture content and more than 90% in volume through gravity concentration + mechanical dehydration process. After dehydration, the sludge can be harmlessly treated and used as fertilizer for landscaping or raw material for incineration and power generation, realizing the circular economy model of “turning waste into treasure”.
Technological innovation drives industry upgrade
The equipment adopts a modular design and can be flexibly combined according to the processing scale, occupying only 1/3 of the floor space of the traditional process. Through the Internet of Things technology, operation and maintenance personnel can remotely monitor the operating status of the equipment to achieve fault warning and precise maintenance. According to statistics, the operating cost of a pilot project is 35% lower than that of the traditional process, and the stable water output rate reaches 100%.
Industry experts pointed out that the underground integrated equipment is becoming the preferred solution for decentralized sewage treatment in towns, scenic spots, industrial parks, etc. with its high efficiency, energy saving and environmentally friendly characteristics. With the advancement of the “14th Five-Year Plan” ecological and environmental protection plan, this “underground project” will continue to contribute scientific and technological strength to the construction of a beautiful China.
